COSTA NORD

This tour explores the north coast of the municipality. The coast is low and rocky with several beaches. The route begins in a city gate and finishes at another one.
We recommend that you travel by bicycle. The route covers the charming northern coast of the municipality of Alcúdia. Start at Porta de Mallorca and follow carrer de Sant Sebastià. Follow it to the end and take camí del Corral d'en Bennàssar through fields. 700 metres further on, you can admire an old waterwheel that was used to extract water. The windmill of en Cabil•la is located nearby to the right. Next to the windmill, leave the road and head towards the sea (300 metres).
It is a very pleasant coast that combines nature and buildings with wooden docks distributed along the coast. Follow passeig de Voramar along the sea for 1 Km. Reach plaça dels Mestres d'Aixa, from where you can admire a great view of the coast of the Cape of el Pinar. Continue along carrer de les Veles and reach the small harbour of el Barcarès. Follow Avinguda del Camp de Mar along the coast to Morer Vermell. Cross the residential area and head towards the sea again on passeig de Tirant lo Blanc. The dirt road leads to Manresa (1,5 Km).
Cross Manresa and head towards Mal Pas. 800 metres further on you will find the beaches of Sant Joan and Sant Pere, two coves facing north. Cross Mal Pas and follow camí del Mal Pas to Alcúdia (2,5 Km). Take carrer del Molinot to reach the gate or Porta del Moll.

Porta de Mallorca - Costa nord - Porta Roja. This is a shorter version of the previous route. At the harbour of el Barcarès you can follow camí del Barcarès (1 Km) to Alcúdia. The road leads to plaça de la Porta Roja, where the third gate of the city stood in the past.
