L´AMO DE SO NA MOIXA
It is a character from the “Rondalla” (traditional Mallorcan tale) with the same name. In the tale he has a series of characteristics that make him perfect for the parade: he is big, pot-bellied and a simple-minded.
The most popular section of the tale is the one in which his wife sends him to get two sacks of flour to bake bread. To avoid loading them onto the donkey and seeing that the wind is blowing in the direction of his house, he empties the sacks with the hope that the wind will be kind enough to carry the flour home. When he gets there his wife thumps him for being stupid. |

The character has a smiling face which suggests that he is a bit dumb. During the parade he throws flour to the children that chase him as a reference to the tale. He wears the ample trousers and white shirt worn by old peasants.
NA PIXEDIS BRUTA, EN TÒFOL MENTIDER and EN GORI DOLENTIES

 |
Na Pixedis Bruta |
En Tòfol Mentider |
En Gori Dolenties |
These characters are a comic satire of three human flaws: filth, deception and wickedness. Na Pixedis Bruta wears a light coloured dress with adornments. The dress is stained and her stockings are darned and full of holes. En Tòfol Mentider and en Gori Dolenties wear simple children clothes dating approximately from the 16th-17th century and esparto espadrilles. In Alcúdia adults tell children that if they tell lies they will grow a horn in their forehead. That is why en Tòfol has a large horn. Similarly, en Gori has donkey ears because he is always naughty.
SA JAIA TONINA
Sa Jaia Tonina is an essential character of Mallorcan traditional tales. She wears traditional clothes (dark “gonela”, doublet, hankerchief...) and walks with a stick.
She carries a basket and hands out sweets to children.
